Welcome to the Cottage Cakerie, where we believe that dessert at family gatherings shouldn’t be a stressful question of who can eat what – or who is STUCK with eating what – but rather a simple delight that all can share together, whether they have allergies or not.

My cakes and other goodies are always 100% gluten free; designed to be safe for my family members who are deathly allergic to gluten and tested and tweaked until my wheat-eating relatives are also happy with them.

I also completely abstain from the use of seed oils and artificial dyes/flavors in my baking – cakes, no matter how you make them, are never going to be health food, but they shouldn’t be filled with toxins. I use vegetable based food colorings in many cases, but my favorite way of coloring a cake is by adding a fruit infusion! Check out the black raspberry purple accents on this cake or the rich red raspberry pink on this one!
